Gareth Bale

When Gareth Bale came off the bench to notch a brace for Real Madrid in the Uefa Champions League final against Liverpool, one could easily say that it was his genius that was in action. One of the goals was a sublime overhead kick – not very many players can score this kind of goals. After that game, Ryan Giggs, Bale’s fellow countryman came out gallantly to claim that Bale was Wale’s all-time best. Yes, people can say things in the heat of the moment, but Giggs did not say this under such circumstances. On his day, Bale can do the unthinkable, and has the ability to run any show, however big it is.

At age 9, Bale already had the shades of a great footballer, and he was rightly spotted by the scouts from Southampton. Having started his career as a left back, Bale excelled at Southampton and later moved to Spurs where he morphed into a winger that would become a nightmare for defenders. Real Madrid would later capture his signature as a galactico. At Madrid, Bale has won almost everything and has been scoring wonder goals, including thunderbolts. He still plays for the club to this day (as of 2019).
